I don't know what ever made me believe I could pull this off, but... I wanted to try.
This is =IceKrystal's amazing character, Leo. I don't know much of his story, having only read chapter 1 and the Unwritten Chapter, but... I have to say, I am SO glad that I could be her beta-reader. She's just an amazing person, and also a wonderful artist (who suffers way more than she deserves), and if you haven't seen her art, go check it out.  Anyway... I dunno. I rarely, if ever, draw non-humans, but like I said, I wanted to try. (It really does look better in person, I promise! It looks more proportionate.) He's supposed to have his hands in his pockets or something... that didn't work out too well. >.> But the inspiration for the pose (it was totally going to be an action shot) was the AWESOME scarf I got from my friend on Thursday for Christmas... and I was like "WANT TO DRAW SCARF." XDDD (Probably the next eight or so people I draw will be wearing scarves.) So I tried to give him a more relaxed look, since I wouldn't imagine Leo would get that many chances to relax, and then his expression kind of took on a life of its own. XDDD OK, I'm writing way too many comments. So... It may not look it, but I actually learned a bunch about shading from Ses while drawing this. XD I used [link] as a HUGE ref, and it was really helpful... to me drawing her own character... oh well. XD It was. And I PROMISE it turned out SLIGHTLY better in person... So, Happy Christmas, Ses.
