I can't remember what you always used to do,
           and that is
                   Puzzling
because once, I
                       reminded you every day.

"Remember when you used to--"
                        And you'd laugh
                                            and nod
                                                   and play along.
It was a habit that made me smile,
Beaming across the ancient night.

But now your face
                                              slips
   from my          fading mind
And your
                              name
dies on the tip of my tongue.
  Still, you laugh
                    and nod
                           and play along
and I wonder if I'm even speaking at all.

A grin dances about your childhood face,
                 jolting through me
   And how could I forget?

I wasn't sure either about the title or the category, but I did them anyway. :ohnoes:

Having never had Alzheimer's, I don't know what it's like, but my grandpa did have it, before he died last year. :tears: And I remember what it was like for us.

And this sort of came to me, just the beginning, and I built off it from there.

Does the title make it too obvious, or is it good clarification?

This is great, I love the format, distorted like the memory of someone with alzheimers. It's great!

we had a woman who stayed with us who had Alzheimer's and it pretty much drove me crazy...

of course not all people who have Alzheimer's are as annoying as she was.

and this was sooo beautifully written!!! it amazes me how you can take something like Alzheimer and write the most beautaful peace about it :D

you are AMAZING!!!

Seems like everyone else has the someone they need
